Felonious Mongoose is the first new narrowboat to feature the diesel-electric parallel hybrid unit developed by Beta Marine and Hybrid Marine.

It is a 60’ Trad style live-aboard, slightly longer than the normal 57’ to 58’ boat to help accommodate the 24 large batteries Bank to power the hybrid engine, without compromising the living area of the boat. It has all the classic detail of a Braidbar Boat including the trademark curved cutaway semi bulkhead, and has brass fittings inside complementing the brass portholes.

The saloon has a starboard side hatch fitted towards the front of the boat. That together with a prism, large 14” portholes and half-glazed front doors brings in streams of light. The Galley has a stunning Blue Pearl Granite work-surface, carried through to the walk-through bathroom. The flooring is again the lovely Burnt and Oiled reclaimed oak planking which has become so well-loved in the latest Braidbar boats built.
