Mei Long

Mei Long No. 164

Mei Long is a 62’ semi-trad style boat powered by a 43hp Beta Marine engine, electric bowthruster and 5KW Victron Quattro inverter/charger. The boat is heated by both a Webasto central heating system and stainless steel Lockgate 2062MK diesel stove.

Mei Long has double glazed fixed portholes throughout, two Houdini hatches (in the bedroom and galley/saloon), and a glazed side hatch over the dinette, all supplying lots of natural light throughout the boat.

The saloon (at the front of the boat) is home to a fixed ‘L’ shaped sofa (that converts to a double-bed, and has storage underneath), and Lockgate diesel stove, both on the starboard side, and opposite is a curved TV unit extending into a corner cupboard.

Looking down through the boat your eyes are drawn to the two ‘C’ shaped bulkheads which envelope the galley, giving the impression of a picture frame. Steel coloured Quartz worktops are on both sides of the galley. On the starboard side is a Belling hob with extractor, oven and combination-microwave, and a white enamel underslung sink. On the opposite side is an adapted welsh dresser with the fridge hidden in a cupboard below. There are two slimline tin cupboards at either end of the galley.

Next, on the port side, is the raised pullman-style dinette which also converts into a bed, making Mei Long a six berth boat.

The walkthrough bathroom has a quadrant shower, macerating toilet, and a semi-protruding basin sitting on a corner unit. There are two curved chrome towel rails providing plenty of warmth.

A standard 6’3’’ x 4’ bed (extending to 5’ wide) is on the starboard side of the bedroom, with overhead cupboards running the length of the bed. The wardrobe units extend to the electrics cupboard from the end of the bed, with a corner vanity cupboard opposite All provide plenty of storage for extended cruising. At the end of the bedroom is a small utility area on the port side which houses an Indesit washer /dryer with the quartz work top, which is adjacent to a wet locker next to the external door.

Throughout the boat is a lightly burnt and oiled solid oak flooring, and this along with chrome interior fittings and stylish upholstery make Mei Long feel like a very spacious, and pretty boat.

The boat is very elegant painted in Graphite grey, Mercedes red and Ermine white, which all complement each other beautifully, giving a sense of individuality.

Extra seating for those social times is provided on the front deck under the cratch cover and seating on the lockers at the rear of the boat.

Mei Long, no. 164, has a beautiful flow throughout the boat, and has an air of contemporary as well as tradition, which blends well together.
